The distribution centre was struggling to meet growing order volumes with a manual pick-and-sort operation. Labour availability was constrained and error rates were impacting customer satisfaction. A scalable automated solution was required within a tight 6-month deployment window.
How Smachinato delivered
Smachinato engineered a high-speed sortation and conveyor system integrated with the client's WMS. Barcode scanning at induction automatically routes parcels to the correct sort lane. The SCADA system provides live throughput data, jam detection and remote diagnostics.
